Un agent des forces spéciales décide de prendre sa retraite de l’armée et de fonder une famille aux États-Unis. Après plusieurs années d’efforts pour se conformer à la vie en banlieue, il décide de sortir de sa retraite et d’accepter un contrat pour assurer la sécurité d’une journaliste alors qu’elle interviewe un dictateur sud-américain. Lorsqu’un coup d’État militaire éclate en plein milieu de l’interview, les voici tous trois contraints de s‘enfuir dans la jungle où ils doivent survivre aux éléments, aux militaires et les uns aux autres.
